Financial Coaching
that goes beyond the dollar signs.
Welcome to Peak Financial Coaching
Our mission is to empower individuals and couples to transform their lives—one habit at a time—to achieve their financial goals.
Going from “I’m not sure we’re going to make it” to “I feel confident about my financial choices” is easier said than done.
It takes vulnerability.
It takes learning.
It takes commitment.
And yes, it takes work.
But as a persevering and resilient Millennial or Gen Xer, we know you’ve got this. When you take control of your money, you impact not only your finances, but also your relationships, your emotional well-being, and your spiritual state.
Many people don’t understand that the stress and tension they’re feeling in their relationships are impacted by underlying financial troubles. And they don’t realize that those financial troubles are caused by not one or two big money mistakes, but a lifetime of seemingly trivial financial habits—habits you may not even realize you have.
Changing your financial future starts with your habits.
At Peak Financial Coaching, we go beyond the numbers to help you target and change the financial habits that are holding you back—as well as build the habits that are going to move you forward. We help you address and solve your financial troubles—one habit at a time—so you can reach your financial peak. Together, we can reduce the stress and anxiety caused by your financial situation so you can redirect your energy to living life—and enjoying it.

Meet the Founder
Hi there—I’m Rocky.
In 2023, I retired from a 30+ year career in the financial services industry where I worked in various roles as a CFO, a Senior Vice-President of Finance, a Controller, and the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis.
But to me, retirement doesn’t mean I want to stop working—on the contrary! I just want to do something different.
After leaving my corporate gig, I founded Peak Financial Coaching, a signature suite of personal financial coaching programs that help Millennials and Gen Xers make real changes to their financial situation so they can reach their lifestyle goals with clarity and confidence.
Even though I spent 30+ years working in finance, I didn’t always have my money figured out…
When my wife and I were in our early 30s, we were living paycheck to paycheck. We had two young children and a mountain of debt to boot. We had very little savings to handle a financial emergency (a few thousand at best). And we were paying the “Stupid Tax.” Early in our marriage, we cashed out a 401(k) plan to pay off debt, but we never changed our habits. We just kept accumulating more and more debt.
We were always arguing about money.
We had the head knowledge—we technically knew what we should be doing with our money. After all, I worked in finance. I was exposed to positive influences and ideas every day. We also had great role models in our parents. Both our parents lived well within their means and saved for the future, providing a comfortable retirement for themselves. We just didn’t do what we knew we should be doing.
We weren’t in control of our behaviors and habits around money, and we had no idea how to change them.
So we swallowed our pride and got some help.
On the recommendation of some close friends, we signed up for a Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University (FPU) program. And although we weren’t overly enthused about spending a few hours every week taking a good hard look at the mess we’d made, this was a life-changing event for us.
We got on the same page financially in our relationship. We changed our behaviors and habits when it came to spending and saving money. We started paying off our debt and building wealth using the debt snowball method. We started practicing generosity with our newfound wealth. Amazingly, it seemed that the more generous we were with our money, the more wealth we accumulated.
And for the first time in our marriage, we stopped fighting about money.
We paid off all of our debt, including our mortgage. We built up an emergency fund and covered our monthly expenses. We fully funded our retirement, allowing me to retire from the corporate world earlier than we had planned. We are able to be more giving and helpful to others.
And we were able to do all this because we had a guide who showed us how to change our behaviors and habits and take control of our money once and for all.
So what does this mean for you and your story?
If you can relate to any part of my story, you’re in the right place. I’ve been where you are, and I’ve been where you want to be. With my experience, knowledge, and know-how, I can help you find similar financial peace.
With financial peace, you can:
✅ Pay off debt that’s holding you back
✅ Save an emergency fund that gives you security
✅ Ramp up your retirement savings
✅ Buy that house you’ve been dreaming of
✅ Give back to your community and live a generous lifestyle
✅ Make financial decisions with confidence
Ultimately, financial peace is all about creating choices. The choice to quit your job and do something else for a lower salary. The choice to take a year off from work so you can spend more time with your family. The choice to travel as much as you like when you retire. With financial peace, the choices are endless…
Don’t wait to get your financial house in order.
Still on the fence? That’s okay!
Hiring a financial coach is a big deal, and you want to make sure you’re choosing a coach who not only shares your values but who also has the right experience and expertise. I have over 30 years of experience in finance and over that time, I acquired a number of financial-related certifications that I keep active today:
CPA, Certified Public Accountant
ChFC®, Chartered Financial Consultant®
CGMA, Chartered Global Management Accountant
FLMI, Fellow, Life Management Institute
Financial Coach Master Training Certificate, Ramsey Solutions
Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Online
With these certifications in hand, I can take the complex and make it understandable. Then—and this is the important part—I can help you take that knowledge and make it actionable.
This is true financial empowerment.
